Joni has over 20 years of experience working with children, teens and families.  With a Bachelor’s degree in education and a Masters degree in counseling, Joni works to understand all aspects of family life stresses.  She is a stay-at-home mother and part time counselor.

Joni has a wholistic approach, where she goes outside of the counseling session to work with the families she helps in all aspects of her client’s lives.  She has worked past her Masters degree in counseling to get her certification in Play Therapy for children, teens and families. Joni’s wholistic, family approach, coupled with Play Therapy techniques help people in ways beyond talk therapy only.

Joni enjoys spending time with her family, nature, and making connections within her community.  She believes everyone has a story and learning to tell that story in a person’s own words is when healing truly begins to take place.  She loves hearing people’s life stories and does so with grace, understanding, and genuine concern for the life they want to live through the story they have.
